It's Our Time to Change

The scary the about #elections in Kenya is that there was PEV in '92, '97 & '07 in varying degrees.
Sadly, to date, most if not all the perpetrators of such violence walk these streets, total free, without shame or guilt or the fear of the law
... a dangerous precedent based on mere logic &
operant conditioning theory in psychology ...
and with the current show of state force & police brutality, 2017 look bleak

Something needs to change, many things need to change from the social fabric of Kenyans to the political leaderships approach on both divides as well as various government institutions; judiciary that ought to interpret & arbitrate legal disputes and the police whose mandate is "Utumishi kwa Wote" not "Canes & Teargas"

for all and the extremely silent clergy that only voice their opinion over such trivial matters as tv ads & atheists but retire to the safety of their leafy suburbs once members of their congregation are beaten up in the streets of Nairobi for merely voicing their opinions...

And "us those" hash tag # warriors, yes, continue speaking up for

the voiceless refugee,

that unknown victim of domestic abuse,

that unfortunate individual that was felled by the hunters of men,

let no one tell you that what you do doesn't count.

IT DOES.

But more so after the trends and conversations, take time to actively participate, vote for the right leaders,
educate your immediate community,
organise and lobby your representatives for the change you want and if you can't see any leader that embodies your vision for this great nation,
offer yourself up for public service at whatever level,
from the position of ward rep, women rep or even for the presidency.

If they can't do it, why not show them how to do it?!
